This summer they will release the “Biante” taken from the English word “ambient.” It follows the “flow” design theories Mazda has been toying with these past few years. “Ambient” represents “surroundings and environment” according to a Biante press release.

The Biante features an interior space around 2.0-liters, similar to other three-row minivans produced in Japan. Price details have yet to be officially broadcast. Mazda calls the Biante a developing concept of “Zoom-Zoom Tall.”

Mazda has already premiered their new 2-door Hatchback in China, making eco-friendly drivers and space savers alike smile in acceptance. Mazda2 models will make appearances on the streets of Geneva in the near future, and MazdaPedia hopes the Japanese motor corporation will send this puppy to the states. This “3 & 5 door” hatchback features both a 1.3L and 1.5L four-cylinder engine, expected to produce between 80 and 100 horsepower.

A sleek interior comforts your body with full audio control steering and a race car style dash. The Mazda2 may be small, but there’s plenty of leg room for both your front passenger and whoever hops in back.

MazdaPedia is going to keep an eye on the Mazda2, and will bring you a more in-depth review about the performance and user-friendliness of Mazda’s newest baby. Keep your fingers crossed that we will all see Mazda2s cruising the roads of North America in 2008.

Mazda strikes the SUV world again with their 2008 edition of the Tribute. It’s a classic Ford-doppelganger mid-sized sport utility design with the power of a Mazda 2.3 liter 4-cyl (in the “i” model) under the hood. Gas mileage is pretty stable at 18 city and 24 highway in standard two-wheel drive. The driver will experience a drop down to 17 city and 22 highway while in 4-wheel, but it is a pleasure when you need to shoot down snow covered roads or up steep hills.
Inside, you have some design alterations and a switch between a gorgeous off-white and basic black. Seating for 2, 4 or 5 can be accomplished with ease with cloth or leather options.
Later this year Mazda expects to roll out a hybrid version of the Tribute. This gives hope to all the “green” car lovers that another dependable SUV can make the leap to a healthier driving environment.
